'' You Are The One True Dog '' Poem by Bri Mar

'' You Are The One True Dog ''

Paradise at last,
I feel aghast,
Don't you dare feel blame,
To enter I've passed,
Heaven is vast,
Saint Peter then asks my name.

It's CoCo I say,
He replies, let us pray,
The Angels then wash my feet,
I'm not a stray,
They say, no way,
They make me feel so upbeat.

I meet the curator,
The great creator,
Then at my paws he kneels,
You're the instigator,
The educator,
He then tells me how he feels.

In his dulcet tone,
He says, have a bone,
I've been waiting for you for years,
I'll let it be known,
You have my throne,
He then sheds joyous tears.

In this Heavenly land,
Please understand,
Cross Collies do rule the roost,
Whatever you command,
I'll lend you a hand,
You have given us all such a boost.

What do I do?
He said, just be true,
He tells me my deputy's a frog,
The ruler is who?
God replied, it's you,
