You Are The Very Best - Poem by Laurie Pilner

Thought from early on in life
Those around you do not care
They will hurt you anyway they can
And walk away without a care

Then one day I met you
And you turned my life around
It confused me something awful though
True love I finally found

I feared the worst would happen
And you'd turn out like the rest
But you are just who you are
You are the very best

The best thing in my life
And why I love you so
I have always lost what I have loved
And I fear I'll lose you too

How far is True Love really True? Which Truth is The Truth? We hang on to the truth we feel is nearest to the truth in the fear that we will lose that too. You may like to see my poem: True. (Report) Reply
