You Came In Trickles Poem by Praveen Kumar In Shobha Priya

You Came In Trickles

You came in trickles,
I scarcely realized,
You were so near;
You gate-crashed within
Without I was aware;
I only felt
Contentful taste
Lingering in mouth,
A rare fulfillment
Filling heart,
Heavenly glitters
Reflected from soul
Glistened in eyes.

I realized then not
From where have you come,
How so gently sprang
For what great cause
To fill me all over;
It was sudden dawn
From the slothful dusk,
Unveiling new world
Of lively freshness;
Rainbow colours
Radiated around,
Fresh first rains
Sprinkled on ground
To drench parched world,
I was accustomed to.

It was new world,
Divine sensation
Like all the worlds
Revolve around;
I was at the center
In glow like the sun
On heavenly throne;
So blinding was glory
So binding was the scene,
Oblivious I became
To the world around;
It was I, all worlds,
All worlds, mere I,
I so drowned in self,
Though the self, not mine,
But of the cosmic self.

Cleansed I was, afresh,
Transcended trifle state;
I glowed as pure light
From the divine lamp
When you trickled in,
Bonded with my soul
And consumed negatives
With overwhelming love,
Only a divine soul spreads
As fierce as glowing sun,
As gentle as fullmoon light
Wrapped in sparks
In polished diamond.

You came, saw me and trickled in,
Spread within like impatient heaven;
No more I remain what I had been,
You furbished and made me to shine.
