You Can Get There Poem by William Lindenmuth

You Can Get There

You can Get There
Bill Lindenmuth

You can go the distance
As far as you desire
Ride along the spark
To become the perfect fire
Never seeking perfection
But striving to succeed
You may not get all that you want
But you will surely get what you need
Just a little inspiration
A can do attitude
Creates the situation
An upbeat kind of mood
You surely will succeed
When you try to be your best
All things in moderation
And ameditated rest
Today may not be your best day
And tomorrow may feel like the rest
But the determined heart is beating
To pass the final test
For I am just a work in progress
Making mistakes along the way
But eventually I will get it right
Beginning with this day

So many things we strive for, reaching for a higher plane. Eventually we find ourselves
Or we drive ourselves insane
So much for the craziness
That seems so common these days
When just a little bit of sense
Can help us change our ways
