You Can't Go Home Again Poem by Kim Weser

You Can't Go Home Again

Rating: 4.0

You can't go home again,
Nothing will ever be the same,
You can't go home again,
Who do you think is to blame.

You can't go home again,
No one is there to welcome you home,
You can't go home again,
Everyone's feelings have turned to stone.

You can't go home again,
Everything seems so out of place,
You can't go home again,
You take precautions just in case.

You can't go home again,
The people you cared about are no more,
You can't go home again,
Even though you think you knew them once before.

You can't go home again,
You feel lost, confused, and all alone,
You can't go home again,
Everyone has forgot about you since you've been gone.

Sometimes you can. It depends on how long you have been gone and how much has changed. Nevertheless, a very thought-provoking poem, Kim!

I agree. I left for war once. Returned 10 years later. Complete world had changed. You can't return home. Maybe we had changed? Thank you Kim for sharing the amazing poetry.
