You Can't Run Away Poem by Ray Hansell

You Can't Run Away

You thought that by running away
It would help ease the pain
But you know that come tomorrow
You'll still feel that pain again

Because you know in your heart
Running, is never the thing to do
No matter how far you run
You'll never out run you

What you have to do
Is listen to your heart
As far as I'm concerned
That's where your recovery will start

Our hearts will always lead us
In the direction we must go
It's best to follow your heart
Because a heart just seems to know

Soon time will tell you
If you were right or wrong
Time will let us know
If we'll be weak or strong
