You Cannot See A Snake's Hidden Legs Poem by Mohammad Younus

You Cannot See A Snake's Hidden Legs

You cannot see a snake's hidden legs,
Or trace the shadow of its silent stride.
You cannot glimpse the ant's unseen gaze,
Its world concealed, its secrets inside.

Thus, how could you unmask the guise,
Of charlatans draped in robes of white?
They chant the stars, recite the skies,
Yet wield their words to dim the light.

They claim the keys to realms divine,
But in their hearts lies greed's decay.
Beware the masks, the hollow signs—
For truth walks bare, not led astray.
