You Didn'T Have The Time Poem by Gail Grierson

You Didn'T Have The Time

I wanted you to listen,
You didn’t have the time;
Your day was much too busy,
Much busier than mine.

The years went by so quickly,
Times we shared were few;
My days were truly lonely and
I grew apart from you.

One day I met another
Who shared his time with me;
We had long conversations,
The days spent joyfully.

We laughed and passed the hours
In pleasure, don’t you see?
Neither was too busy
For the love that came to be.
