You Didn't Deserve It Poem by Dianna Cummings

You Didn't Deserve It

Have you ever suffered sexual assault (Non-consensual behavior) ? If so, I have written this poem for you and not about you. Whatever happened that one night or many nights, it is not your fault. You didn't deserve it. You're not to blame because you didn't ask for it. You can speak of it there is no need to remain silent. You are worthy, so don't pretend like it never happened. You are not accountable for what took place and happened to you that day. No one should have violated you like that because you are not spoiled goods.

You should have been treated with respect and dignity. You were, at that time, a victim of a Non-consensual assault, and it was completely wrong. Although you've been through all of this pain and suffering, please note that healing will happen and there is hope.

Jeremiah 17: 14 says, 'Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; Save me, and I shall be saved, for you are my praise.'

We've all had our own journeys.
