You Don't Own Me Poem by Binu Mathew

You Don't Own Me

I'm not a mare,
You bought from market,
To pull the cart of nuptial life,
But one of the wheels,
That rotates in tandem!
With flesh and blood,
And all faculties of the mind,
I too deserve a life with dignity!
