We were young airmen
Just passed out after training
In wee hours, we decided to visit aerodrome
And see how passengers were welcomed

We stood at unguarded gate at Palam Airport
We knew nothing where to report!
Some security officials approached us to clear off
Even though we had Identity Cards, they laughed at

The security was at its best
The VVIP security witnessed their skill test
I saw an old man alighting from plane
He was well guarded and taken to separate lane

He carried small bundle wrapped in long cloth bedsheet
People cheered and greeted with honor
He was "Khan Abdul Gaffar Khan" known as " Frontier Gandhi".
He looked like giant banyan tree

His voice was choked
The pain and anger clearly evoked
He was sore in an attempt that had ditched them in freedom struggle
He was now leader of forgotten people

He addressed small gathering
"You have forgotten Gandhi too"
He was called as Allah's messenger or khudai khidmatgaar*
Indian leaders betrayal was clearly sen with anger

You Forgot Gandhiji Too
