You Found Some One New

Caution the floors wet, been crying
I gave up so fed up of trying
To accept that gut renching truth ive been denying
To myself i need to stop lying

Is my soul hung out to dry?
Stretched taught under a summers sky
Whispers of a whimpering cry
As all my hopes have gone awry

Left for now the empty shell of me
To piece together after my pathetic plea
But who after all could be fairer than she?
And what reason do you have to disagree?

I poured my heart out theres bits of it on the floor
Yet i pick it up and put it out for more
In your new state this you ignore
After all theres a new relationship to explore

Sorry im lonely without you
Feeling like a past shadow you look through
You walk ahead something else to persue
Always in the background waiting, for us anew

Except a few small bruises, cuts and scars i guess im fine
Yes i may decline
Drown myself in a few bottles of wine
but hopefully i will be ok at the end of the line

Nice one- written straight from the heart and expressed beautifully.
