Masking true feelings away,
You don't want to know what they'll say,
Everything always sounds nicer when it rhymes,
You cover it up thousands of times,
Depression, Bulimia, Anxiety,
Whatever it is, You hide it away quietly.
Cause when you're crying,
You don't want sympathy,
You don't want pity,
You just want to change it all.
Mental Illness isn't a game,
It's a constant fight with pain,
"What do I show them today? "
"How much of the real me will be on display? "
"If only, if only I wasn't here."
And then suddenly, it's clear.
Cause when you're crying,
You don't want sympathy,
You don't want pity,
You just want to change it all.
What if you just left?
It wouldn't be theft.
You willingly wanted to go
"Where? " "Off Earth" "Oh."
So you took your life,
Just as you had, years ago, inside.
An insightful rendition written with clarity of thought and mind. Well thought out and nicely crafted poem. Thanks for sharing Hannah.
Great poem Hannah, but I suppose you could look at the end notes well(end words) For instance So you took your life, Just as you ha, years ago, inside That part could be looked at properly. Not the semantics though

I would like to translate this poem
A poem crafted so nicely, started so elegantly, had a natural flow, but did not end with the same tempo. Still thanks for the sharing. 10+++
