You Lied Poem by Marcquiese Burrell

You Lied

You've been unfaithful
you're so disloyal
this love I felt
has immediately died
all that's left
is my broken heart
when I trusted you
Broken me in two
All of your promises
have ran on E
the look on your face
as if you are sorry
your games of deceit
pretend you love me
smooth words so sweet
talked me into submission
for a minute
let's be honest
you know you
no longer feel for me
what you had felt for me
and this the reality
I would awake to see
things between us
just weren't meant to be
