You'Ll Be Missed (To Brayden) - Poem by Carl Leiland

The delicate balance of nature has tested me
Recent moments have brought me the realization
of how fragile life can truly be
Lord, protect my precious child,
for he has risen to gather his wings
While sadness has plunged from the darkness of our skies,
and somber tears are wept from the angel's eyes

Silently as I watch feathered dandelions
dance across the late April breeze
Overwhelmed still yet with enormous grief
Even as the warmth of the sunshine gleams upon my face
Gently I close my eyes as the wind wraps my soul,
with such tight embrace,
I know it is you my baby, telling me not to cry
Within the innocence of your fallen grace

Brayden, for I know nothing dearly loved is ever really lost
This good-bye is my way of saying our memories
will always be treasured
In time this pain I fell will surely subside,
In heaven once again we shall unite
'Til that day comes however, the pain inside my heart runs deep
but after each my prayers, my mind will rest at ease
'Cause I sent with you, your blankey
So Grandma can wrap you in her arms as you sleep

Good-bye Brayden, we will miss you!
