You Look Like Someone I Know By Gio Masserati

You Look Like Someone I Know

you look like someone I know
no line, just sayin'
who do you remind me of...?
are you the man I think I know?

Wowing me with your vibrant steady glow
why do you remind me of Jesus?

the similiarities are undeniable
a look at you makes truths reliable
the message clear loud and viable

I can truly see you have let His clay be pliable

you have evangelist qualities
like that of Paul you know the one
wanting souls to truth be known
and wanting hearts to genuinly grow

by spreading His love wherever you go

to your listeners and audience
your work is vital for every spiritual trial
there you are glorifying your Father
doing your work as a gift to the Lord

giving praise where praise is due

could also see Daniel in you from the lions den
in some of your ways using biblical principles
trusting in Him to shed comforting light
for future days and valleys too deep

I really wondred why, dear?
of how and when you reminded me of Jesus
but then I looked and read and saw
your heart
I heard your words
was drawn to you

your eyes kind like my fathers
like Christ looking into a mirror
and now my mystery man
has become a wonderful reflection of everything I love
about my Jesus

I guess the Jesus I see in you
is the Jesus I have in me

Seeing my Jesus in your eyes
then seeing me in your eyes relection
Seeing you as a relection of Christ's mirror
oh yeah oh yes! You remind me of sweet Jesus

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
'Thou wilt show us the path of life
in thy presence is fullness of joy,
at thy right hand are pleasures forevermore'
Psalm 16: 11
Sometimes it's nice to know we're not the blind leading the blind, but there's an actual path we can follow when we follow Jesus :)
