You Made Me Worse Poem by Lacie Hebert

You Made Me Worse

I used to be softer, I used to be kind,
Then you came in and rewired my mind.
You say I'm cold now — well, look at you,
You taught me every fucked‑up thing I do.

You make me worse, and you know it,
Turned my heart into a weapon and you show it.
You say I changed — but you're the cause,
You broke me down and called it love.

You say I'm distant, but you built the space,
You say I'm bitter, but you set the taste.
You say I'm toxic, but you lit the fuse,
You made the monster you accuse.
