You & Me Poem by Amri Ramsey

You & Me

Rating: 5.0

You can strip my clothes off, down to my bare skin
You can call me names
You can say all that you want
But I am begging you
Do not take away my innocence
Do not take away who I am as a person
Do not steal my soul.
Or if you do just kill me while youre at it
You're already taking away who I am
You're already destroying all the trust I have in men
You're already shredding up every piece of confidence I have in myself.
You did not listen to my only request
You left me laying there
You left me questioning my worth
You told me this was going to happen again whether I liked it or not
You said I had no choice
You took away my voice
I walked into this situation
I should have known
I should have stopped it
I should have tried harder
It's all my fault
I gave you the power to destroy me and you did just that.
