You Only See Life's Ugly Side Poem by james watkin

You Only See Life's Ugly Side

With so much of Earth, bright lit
For a beauteous
Portrayal of things
Rubs off, optimistically
On what soars, sings

Intervenes what, to distract
As through dark forces
Degrade, blown in;
For this shadow influence
On admiring?

What does in day to day savage
Across its outlooks,
Ugliest, drift!
Already despaired from out
That bird's uplift!
