You People Poem by Tara Schley

You People

No integrity people.
Liar people.
No honour people.
Hypocrite people.
"Me people".
You will go through the rest of your lives.
With an empty feeling deep inside.

You will find religion, it will be there.
You'll find a church, it will be there.
You'll find a new church, it will be there.
You'll fall in love, it will be there.
You'll have kids, then grandkids, it will be there.
You'll get an education, it will be there.
You'll get a new job, it will be there.
You'll buy a new house, it will be there.
You'll buy a new car, it will be there.
You'll find a new love, it will be there.
You'll find another new house, it will be there.
You'll buy new trinket, it will be there.
You'll go on a dream trip, it will be there.
You'll get fit, it will be there.
You'll go to therapy, it will be there.
You'll try a new drug, it will be there.
You'll point your fingers at me, at others,

it will still be there.

That feeling will never go away.
See, what is missing,
that emptiness.
It was your soul.
You sold it to the Devil.
