You'Re Forgetting Yourself Poem by Casey Stewart

You'Re Forgetting Yourself

My god, you are so unhappy
Don’t lie to me, don’t lie to my face
What do you rate today?
Not much better then yesterday?
It’s the distance that sickens
How can that be?
When it’s the place your at that kills you
Stop rushing through the year
That’s no way to live
So leave, go somewhere
Find someplace better
Seeing me gives you strength but
When I see you
I can't help but to scream at you
For your fantasies of your life
They are false
Don’t forget yourself
Live your life
