You'Re Not A Need Poem by moon batchelder

You'Re Not A Need

you're not a need...
but i want you;
not greedy, - i'll wait
til forever has taught you
the meaning of,
say
such a thing as tomorrow,
and freedom, or
caring enough
to desire to belong.

til pride has been banished
that segregates mind
from the heart.
til devotion's own folly
seeps into the
fizzures in
your granite logic;
as moss does
to soften the stone.
