You Set Me Free Poem by misha deblair

You Set Me Free

You penetrate my heart,
I've loved you from the start,
Everything you did gave me confidence,
Lord the past was full of mistakes,
But you've saved me by your grace,
Without you I was weak,
Unmotivated, just lying in the sheets,
My mistakes never changed,
It felt like my life was groundhog day,
Over and over going down the wrong road,
A beautiful life something I had never known,
But when I broke down and remained on my knees,
Crying out to you, Father set me free,
I could feel you all around me,
Like I never have before,
Love totally surrounding,
I had opened up the door,
Now my past is like a fictional tale,
About how a girl got lost in an epic fail,
How she believed all the lies,
That met with her eyes,
That satisfying the flesh,
Is more important then what's next,
I'm looking at the bigger picture,
And things are starting to get clearer,
Seems this life is really the fiction,
After death comes perfection,
I won't live for the moment,
Just living fast and hard,
I'm alive for eternity,
Living for the Lord.
