You Show Poem by Tristan Maverick

You Show

Rating: 4.7

Your eyes show the love
The love I hope for
The love I yearn for
The love I wish for

Your eyes show the hope
The hope I need
The hope I want
The hope I need to survive

Your eyes are
They are
They are you
They are your window
They are the windows to your soul
Your beautiful soul
They are the love, the hope, and the everything I could desire

Your eyes show
Your eyes show me
Your eyes show me the way
They show me the path
They show me myself
My broken heart
My broken mind
My broken soul
You showed me my broken body
You showed me the truth
The truth of the world
This world that tears us apart
Or is that me?

I’m broken
Did you break me?
Or just show me what I couldn’t see?
How could you break me?
How could you show me my broken body?
Did you just want to torture me
When I was already weak and dying?
Or did you want to show me the truth
The truth of this world
Of my world

You showed me myself
Something I should have been able to see
But I couldn’t
I wouldn’t
I couldn’t look at myself,
But you showed me
Showed me the truth
You lit up the darkness of this world

In my world
My world that I created
In darkness
This world of darkness,
This world that is darkness
You showed me myself

Now you show you
You show you, letting me in
Letting me close and not letting go
Holding me tight
Holding my broken heart
Broken mind
Broken soul
In your arms
Such strong arms
Such strong eyes
Your blinding light compared to mine

Now I glow

What comment could support these words. These heavy words that weigh on my heart. Bless you my young beloved friend. Beautiful.
