You've Crushed Me Poem by Margarita Cortés

You've Crushed Me

How could it be
I didn't see
I was so blind
Why did you have to hurt me

I gave you my all
I gave you me
Body mind soul
What more did you need

I Bickered I Cried
I wanted us to be
Something we were
And never again would be

I didn't know it then
Thought it was in my head
But now the reality
Is a nightmare to me

My love wasn't enough
My body left cold
I'm alone in this place
We used to call home

You say you don't love her
You tell me its you and me
Those are just words
Now that you've set me free

Something we all dread and that should never be. The ultimate and most painful betrayal! The sad reality, described will all its hurt, perfectly.
