You Who Make Nuclear Bombs And Weapons Poem by Francis Duggan

You Who Make Nuclear Bombs And Weapons

You who make nuclear bombs and weapons don't ask me for to salute you
You give rise to suffering, fear and destruction and great harm to Planet Earth you can do
What happened to Hiroshima and it's people do we even wish to recall
And is Truman a hero to many the greatest murderer of them all?

No government should have such weaponry at their disposal France, China or the U S of A
North Korea, India or Pakistan we hear rumours of nuclear war every day
None of them should have a right to such weapons and my emphasis on the word right
If they did not have nuclear weapons for war they'd have less appetite.

Has anything been learned from Hiroshima did all of those poor souls die in vain
History has a habit of repeating itself what has happened once can happen again
Far too many weapons of mass destruction in the World but humans themseslves will only destroy
And Mother Earth she will recover she is far too powerful to die.

You who make nuclear bombs and weapons you do not have a right to feel proud
The huge bombs you create may be deadly and the huge bangs they make may be loud
But you will destroy yourselves only and Mother Earth she will live on
When all of those who have tried to destroy her will be long forgotten and gone.
