You Won'T Agree, But Happiness Isn'T A Crime - Poem by something changing
This strange new idea
Perhaps this isn't a crime
Perhaps because it makes me happy
Should be the very deciding factor
In its merit…
This has my head reeling
The logic is clear
But it goes against everything
Everything society has ever taught me
Everything I learned
Through those pained eyes of yours
This defies it all
I am now told
That if it is safe
If it is controlled
If it brings better feelings
Than the ones I possess
Then what is there to fear?
Why should it be wrong?
Why should I abstain?
