You would be an ideal dictator,
our plants would be raised by you,
and the USSR will not disintegrate
but would have expanded - to Europe.

Heater batteries will be warm,
and joy in our eyes would play
and we would sing the Russian songs,
At the West - we'll expectorate.

Not the dollar you'd raise, but the ruble,
would revive the production at home,
and the people would not walk barefooted,
would not eat vegetables from abroad.

Because you are - the most clever,
because you possess the oration,
and emotions, and the Duma.
And you are in our hearts - for ever!

Ты бы был идеальный диктатор,
при тебе бы восстали заводы,
и СССР не распался,
а расширился бы - до Европы.

Батареи бы всех грели,
и веселье в глазах играло,
мы бы русские песни пели,
и плевали бы на Запад.

Ты возвысил бы рубль, а не доллар,
ты бы возродил производство,
и народ не ходил бы голый,
и не ел овощей заморских.

Потому что ты - самый умный,
потому что владеешь речью,
и эмоциями, и Думой.
И ты в наших сердцах - навечно!
