Oh! Look at me for a while
I had been sleepless all night
Waiting to have a glimpse of you
To see that smile lit up your eyes

Oh! Sit by my side for a while
Let me listen to you talk
About your friends and football games
Though I have little interest in them

Oh! Can't we walk together
Where that garden path meanders
Lean on the garden fence
Watch the sun on the horizon set!

Oh dear! I hope you know
When you turn on your heels to go
How long I stand and stare
At the bend where you disappear
