Your Beautiful Eyes Poem by Helder Oliveira

When a moonlight
So clear so bright
Suddenly covered the Earth
Spreading a white and crystalline mantle
Over objects, animals and plants
Unveiling their dark-covered forms…
And stirring romantic feelings
And bringing back pleasing memories…

I looked at the sky in wonder
Expecting to find
A round, clear and full moon

But it wasn't there!

No clouds around to hide the moon
And the moonlight so bright so soon…

So where was the moon?
Where? ! Where? !

Then… I looked at you
And I saw in ecstasy
That the moonlight
Was coming from your eyes!
