The glance of your blue bayou eyes shining with tears
lined with willow lashes catching the rain drops dear,
so serene and bright with a divine glow
is to my gang of sorrows a stunning blow!

Delving deeper into your bottomless pool
I mellowed out so relaxed and cheerful,
felt as if in your tender arms so soothing and cool
a guest in your heart so mellow and beautiful!

The treasures it contains are exceptionally wonderful,
full of tender feelings glaringly graceful
with a fountain of love that eternally overflows
with every scope for my unfulfilled love to glow.

I love to lose me in this peaceful region
as if I found my long cherished Zion,
please close the lids of your beautiful prison dear,
I wish to settle here as your life long prisoner
