Your Drunken Philosophy - Poem by Bridget Bush

Drunken squibbles of words
seeping from your lips
slowly lisping their way from your mouth
drooling to your chin
only to be sopped up
by your Pink Floyd t-shirt
much more durable than Bounty
the circle of wetness spreading out
as more words slip from your mouth
the speed of sound
must be nonexistant tonight
because I can't hear a word
I only see your lips move
I think I can read a few
your drunken philosophy never reaches my ears
