Your Eyes Poem by Hailey Agnew

Your Eyes

I'm a little scared to look into your eyes,
for fear of what i might find.
You brown eyes are deeper then mine.
My blue eyes have nothing in comparison,
to the depth and warmth and freedom from depression,
that your eyes always hold,
playful and thoughtful, young not old.
When i look into your eyes,
my soul is bound and stripped of its disguise.
Your eyes hold mine against my will,
i try to look away but your looks could kill.
I don't mean it in a bad way,
they would kill me from a heart attack,
making my heart beat just a little too fast.
Your so good at hiding things,
your eyes can play tricks and flare my wild imaginings.
But when i'm close to you,
i try so hard not to look,
because the warmth of the brown chocolate depth,
causes my body to cook.
My body loses control,
and so many times I've almost leaned in,
your hypnotizing eyes almost causing me to steal a kiss.
So look me in the eyes,
i don't give a damn if you lie,
just let me go with my instincts,
and do what your eyes tell me,
going with not my mind but body.
Let me gaze into your ever-warm eyes of brown,
in emotion and desire i will drown,
driving my body forward and my thoughts into the ground.
As long as you'll look me in the eyes i'll always be around.
