Your Eyes Poem by Haley Shacklock

Your Eyes

It's your eyes.
Whenever I look into your eyes, I feel at home.
You don't just look at me.
You look through me.
You see my emotions.
You see my feelings, my thoughts, my fears,
everything.
You see everything I try to hide,
so I look away.
I look away because I get scared that if you see too much, you'll get scared away.
As hard as it is to not gaze into those beautiful eyes, I look away.
