Your Eyes By Rasul Gamzatov Poem by Yuri Starostin

Your Eyes By Rasul Gamzatov

I saw your eyes are different:
When a lull is in them when a storm is,
When they are light as a summer day,
When they are dark as night shade,
When they are like a mountain lakes,
Looking for under the brows by an invisible look.
I saw them when they dream about something,
When they a long eyelashes hide,
By a laughing I seen them It`s happened
By a sad, by a looking tired
By a slope over my line...
They took away a clarity and peace
Of my imperturbable eyes before-
And I'm queer, I sing them for the umpteenth time.
