Your Fleeting Intentions Poem by Julia Miller

Your Fleeting Intentions

Your intentions, Sir
Are fleeting
But my heart intends
To keep on beating
So have your fun
And play your games
I'll play along
But it's not the same
I apologize
That your attention wanes
But I give up,
On making you stay.
Poor soul,
You'll never be content
Until all loves and pleasures
Have been spent.
One day you'll see
What you could've had
But my heart's moved on
And you won't miss me that bad.
