Your Kiss Poem by JAMES T. ADAIR

Your Kiss

I'm walking around lately
like something is amiss
Like a lost man, out of time
Nobody to depend on or call mine
But, somehow the thing I think I miss
Is this
Your kiss

It's been so long since I held someone tight
Felt needed and waned or loved just right
I've been walking around searching for something aimlessly
Feels like I've lost the best part of me
But somehow the thing I think I miss
Is this
Your kiss

Time can rearrange everything
Takes away the sunshine or change the songs we sing
Feels like my heart's been in a deep freeze
Each day feels colder by a few degrees
But somehow the thing I think I miss
Is this
Your Kiss

I've only imagined it in dreams
That feel so far away
I keep telling myself that they'll be here any day
That love will somehow find a way
But somehow the thing I think I miss
Is this
Your Kiss
