Your Love

Rating: 5.0

Such an embrace
It was fun to run this race
Though I'd want to live some more on my own,
but I also want to be with you
I want to stay cuddled up in your cold arms
I admit, I'm only human
normally, I'd catch a cold
but now, I want you to be with me for I will no longer grow
old

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This is a poem written in a dark time when I felt like death was the only and most viable solution to my life. A time when I was afraid that if I continue living, I'll keep suffering. And I no longer want to suffer. So, it was my call upon death to take its toll. And finally lay me to rest with the much love it has as it never disappoints. You call death, you die. If you want to die, you die. Death is always there, lurking around us. So, I was so not ok and felt like dying would be much better and an easier way to leave this world and its miseries.
