Your Majesty Poem by Dean Meredith

Your Majesty

You know me
I do it to the fullest
Saving a little
For tomorrow

I love how you glisten
In unexpected radiance
Refracting our promise
Like two believing fools

Lift me up
We both say
Awkwardly
At once

Laying out
Our arguments
For and against
With broken pieces

She's that
Light on my hill
Winking at me
High seductress

Impossible temptress
It's not even dawn
But I'm commanding
Her armada
