Your Memory

Poem by salina daarud

Your memory haunts me,
Frightening me,
and Chasing me in
Dreams now past,
until the nightmare becomes
a terrifying reality.
I cannot escape,
I cannot run from
your stalking memory.
Awake, asleep,
I think of you always.
Your face appears
when least expected.
I cannot hide from you
for you stalk me to the
Edge of sanity, always
Bringing me back,
Always returning.
