POEM " YOUR MY REASON FOR TOMORROW " by martin gedge
If the light turns into dark
to break upon your day
to where you feel your worlds apart
when things get in the way
always remember from the heart
as ripe as words to say
that I would never ever let you down
for all it took was just one look
you sent my night afire
I tugged upon your bait and hook
and took it to the wire
If I could only write the book
to spawn your loves desire
then you would not be lost but rather found
to look into your eyes
and see the stars around you glow
the moments realized
for when we met we'd always know
you had my tongue in ties
wrapped in ribbons, tags and bows
with open arms to hugs the charms of you
my sleeves to wipe your sorrows
on a dear and broken past
my reasons for tomorrow
on these shoulders built to last
for what you see is reel
you don't need another cast
cause I don't often fish like other do....
