Your Name Poem by sholadoye Dada

Your Name

Rating: 5.0

At the mention of your name
My heart swords, spirit heightened
And my memory ravaging
Clicking on one of the dusty files
Then, I remembered when you were fenced
Molting in my warm embrace
When we rubbed spirit in the harmattan
Our citrus is flamboyant
The cold of the winter would never move us
But the carelessness did
Caution was never friendly
And digression lobby, made success
Thank goodness for the angels of winter
Who remembered us, maybe?
For a second life
Our path crossed again
Wishing we could start anew?
Since you toiled away, it was hope
Nothing would ring a bell
If the thing isn’t your name
