Your Name Lord Poem by Gary James Smith

Your Name Lord

Your Name Lord

Magnified and glorified
How worthy to be praised
Initiator of human life
Thou knowest our end of days
And Salvation as an offering
In spite of our wickedness
When repentance is realized
We receive Your blessedness

Love with purest excellence
He loveth like none other
Quick to forgive the prodigal
And each wayward one my brother
Reach out to the Father
You'll find Him in the Son
Be transformed by the written Word
Have faith in the Crucified One

Not one sin had tainted Him
He was innocence Supreme
Tempted though He was like us
To temptation He didn't give in
In His victory we have victory
His Spirit our Guardian
The truth it stands eternal
And not refuted by men

Your name Lord my desire
I know it's perfect claim
For whomsoever trusts in You
Will surely rise again
They put You to death at Calvary
But in reality...an empty tomb!
Come be ye reconciled to God today
At the foot of the Cross there's room!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!
