Your Silent Serenade Poem by Ananya Kashyap

Your Silent Serenade

Here I am without you now
Know how I lived all these years...
Cherishing every moment with you
With a heart that still fears

Of losing you again
Which now proves to be true,
Wish to live a life again
Which is fresher and new.

But is it possible?
For now I've found
Your serenade, your serenade
That lies behind your silent sound...

Of course,
There could be a reversion of times,
When we were together,
Leading us to a 'dream'land
Which is now lost, i gather...

So it still fears of losing you again
Which turns out to be true,
Wish to live a life again...
Fresher and new.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
['My' refers to a fictitious character]The person [whose serenade I've found] was my friend, but he loved me and i was unaware of this fact. So when he realized that i didn't love him and there was no hope even, he decided to leave.
His leave, after some years made me realize of his love(...serenade behind his silent sound) and so i began loving him[after finding his serenade, I've written this serenade]
I've already lost him, but somehow if he finds my love for him, he might return, we may start a new phase[which i don't want to lose(...with a heart that still fears of losing you again) ]but in case he had already fallen in love with someone else in those years of separation, he might leave me again(...which now proves to be true)
It's already late[I've found the serenade very late, so no chance may be for a new beginning](...for now I've found your serenade)

This poem was composed on 11-06-12
dedicated to all those who fail in their love while waiting for the other to approach first.
