Your Thoughts Of Mine Poem by Casey Gochnour

Your Thoughts Of Mine

Sometimes I wonder what’s in your head,
You said it’s nothing… that’s what you said.
It might be nothing, but I still want to know,
Even if I say please, you tend to say no.

I know there’s something going on in that head,
I know there’s something, despite what you said.
I’m going to keep asking, just so you know,
I want more than just a “No”.

I can feel thoughts hurting you in your head,
I can feel your pain, you heard what I said.
There has to be more, I’m craving to know,
But every time I try, you always say no.

What if I stopped asking for the thoughts in your head?
What if I didn’t ask, what if I believed what you said?
Would you want me to try, would you want me to know?
Would you change your mind about saying no?

What if I didn’t tell you what was going on in my head?
What if I never told you, what if I never let you hear what I said?
Would you want to try, would you want to know?
Would you beg me to change my mind from no?

Now I’m begging you please, what’s in your head?
You said it’s nothing, should I believe what you said?
I know it’s something, and I’ll always want to know,
I’m begging you please, don’t just say no.
