Speak to me my darling.
Let me hear your voice.
It always soothes my beating heart
and says to me 'Rejoice.'

The tone it has quiets me
and lulls me into bliss.
Sweet happiness is mine to keep
like a lingering kiss.

There are no other voices for me
that make me want to sing
a song of love for all to hear,
a song to take on wing.

Let the world know how I feel
when you speak to me.
Near or far, wherever you are
your voice will stay with me.
