You're Not What I Want, So Why Do I Want You Poem by Zara O

You're Not What I Want, So Why Do I Want You

You're not faithful
You're not loyal
A wondering eye
Turns to wandering hands

My hands were yours
To have and to hold
I'm ashamed that I let this unfold

The sweet summer petals
Mottled by blood
The blood of a heart
That bled once for us
