On the first of the Sheloshet Yemai Hagbollah,
In Cambridge City, U.K.,
A Sefer Torah is being presented,
It will be a Special Day.

Given by the Tabor Family,
On the 20th May 2007,
To Honour the Memory of Professor David Tabor,
Whose Soul has gone to Heaven.

David Tabor was a fine man,
A Gifted Scholar too,
Whose friendship I did enjoy,
As we sat and davened together in Shul.

A large crowd is expected
To receive the Sefer here,
Three days before Shavuot,
When, on Mount Sinai, the Torah was given there.

May David be remembered,
Each time ~ when ~ from this Sefer we read,
As I remember fondly ~
The friendship, which from him I did receive.
