Zarema Who Is Like Me? Rasul Gamzatov

WHO IS LIKE ME?

And on the central streets,
And near a starch snow,
There a grass is in the meadows as a silk,
I had a whole regiment
A close and aside relatives.

One says obstinately:
«My daughter looks like her mother! »
Others reject:
«You are blind,
The daughter — like a father! »

Let there arguing about as they want,
Let us et struggling to a bet
But from the heart to the sable
Dark eyebrows, like a night,
A daughter able resemble
On a both parents !
