Zzz.11. Rubber Dan-Dan Poem by Mason Maestro

My, my how the time flies
A year of few lows and many highs
Vera has reached her year number one
And there sure has been a lot of fun
She grew fast and now she can walk
It won’t be long before she can talk
Much else has happened this big year
We must have had it in high gear!

We took a trip to Singapore
And daddy finally fixed the door
Wasn’t the big news cool
When Jim gave us the school?
The good mood took a hike
When the cops took my motorbike
Vera fell out of her crib bed
But she only hurt her little wee head

We sing her Rubber dan-dan
And watch the sun give her a tan
And daddy buys V a hummingbird
She’ll fall asleep every time it’s heard
We met Santino over at the mall
We laugh when we hear his ‘Awesome’ call
You visited Europe for the first time!
And in Canada we spent quite the dime

In Toronto we turned over each stone
It showed us we have a possible home
The future is becoming much more clear
We’ll steer away any feeling of fear
Now it is your Valentine’s Day
There were no roses but you said that’s okay
So what have you got then on your fork?
